I changed my graphics card from GT to a GTS , turned off physx and played on low settings, but it didn't make any big difference. Can anyone help me on this? I advise you to check your airvents and fans anyway. Also make sure the airvent s aren't against a wall or being blocked by an object. I dismissed this fix because I thought the game was slowing due to loading new areas, so I defragged and reinstalled and all that.

It did seem to happen when something loaded. Then I thought it was when sounded loaded. Once it happened when a boss did ground slam and when there was an explosion, so I thought it was due to PhysX though I have it turned off. What do all these things have in common? Hope this helps. I've seen two other people report it fixed their problems and specifically with this game and other Unreal3 titles.
