Comment by shazan Everyone minimum of 10 guild members need to be inside of the instance, but it's not necessary to be in the boss chamber at the time of the kill. There are some guild achievements that you can do on your own, such as 55 reps exalted or the critter killer one, so there are ways to boost yourself up beyond the daily limit on a one character level.
Guild achievement points are awarded for completing guild achievements, in a similar manner as to how regular achievement points are awarded for completing non-guild achievements. Like regular achievement points, there are currently no plans to allow spending them on anything. Achievement points are account-wide. Achievements with blue background are account-wide, that means any progress you gain on any character counts towards completion. To get the guild achievement your group MUST consist of a minimum of 8 guildies for a 10 man raid. AQ20 was changed to a 10 man raid in Cataclysm so we qualified for the raids achievement by using our 8 man team.
